Protests by French students
social unrest these days make us look France. In this case it is the protests of university students, while a few months ago were the youth of the slums.
Students protest against so-called First Employment Contract (CPE), aimed at young people up to 26 years regardless of their level of training, which includes the possibility that the worker can be fired without justification during the first two years. Students, who on Thursday will be adding the unions in their protest, consider that this is a garbage contract that opens the doors of job insecurity in France.
weekend the subject held the openings of the TV news for the assault by police at the Sorbonne university, where students are entrenched. The images brought to mind the riots of 68, even those not yet born in that year. But it also made us think of the disorders of the peripheral neighborhoods of Paris and other French towns.
not I who try to draw conclusions on the subject, but I'm interested in the matter, and in a sense, I the news with a mixture of concern and sympathy for the French students.
In Spain we have had examples of more or less recent mobilizations where young people have actively participated, but lately, and Cordoba, the only matter that seems to argue it has to do with the bottle.
Are we the journalists that reduce the problems of youth itself bottle, bottle it? "I'd spend today in France, attempting to implement the contract of first employment? Are we even interested in what's happening in the neighboring country?
Well, the riots in the slums long ago no one remembers, and the problem continues, France clear.
